creating an interbase udf using c++ builder

I was trying to create a udf using c++ builder but have been having problems. Please can someone provide me with a simple step-by-step guide on how to accomplish this.

Cant help you with a complete example (I think you have to know how to write DLL's in the language in question - in your case using C++.) Here is a link that you may find useful :
