I have an intranet up and running at long last, however I would love to take this idea and create an extranet, this could allow our clients access to certain information when they need it.

However, I dont know how to achieve this sort of thing. How can I take our current intranet and create an extranet?

I assume that the server at which your intranet resides is NOT connected to a network with internet access? There is not much to creating an extranet as long as security is not a concern. It sounds as though security *IS* the concern so I would suggest using a VPN connection to your network as opposed to creating a website within IIS.
