I need to create a copy of a domain for testing purposes and plan to connect a spare PC running windows 2000 server onto the existing domain, promote it to a DC so that it's got all the "real" SIDs and GUIDs in it, then take it off the real domain, and put it on a separate network (just a hub)and connect three pc's to it to mimic the exsisting domain. Can anyone see any flaws in this plan? I know I won't be able to use the same Server name but this isn't a problem.

thanks for any feedback.
