I'm taking an easy way out and using a pre-created page from the dreamweaver files "2col_leftNav"
Now I have edited it to make it appear as I want, but I'd like to save it as a template because I want to use this design for all the pages in my site, so that anytime I change a link, etc., I only have to change it in one place, and have the entire right lower "story" space be editable for each individual page.
Any tips or tutorials?
Becasue I tried to make it a template, it gets all screwedd up. Help?

I'm a little ignorant, it seems. What does that mean?

What do you mean by it gets screwed up??? What does it do when you save it as a template and then attempt to use it???

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

It does one of two things:

It loses all of the css formatting.

Or, it keeps the formatting, but everything is locked and I can't seem to make the content area editable.

ps- Thanks for answering

Did you add any editable regions before saving it as a template???

You have to go to the Insert Menu then select Template objects, and then click on Editable regions. Once that is done. Every time you create a page from that template, it will have the editable regions available.

Hope this helps
