Hi All

How can I creat an All Subscribers email list (containing all my Exchange users)and have this show up in the Global Address List when I go to my Address Book in Outlook? I had this in Exchange 5.5 but can't figure out how to do it on Exchange 2003.

Thanks!

P

Hmmm...not sure exactly.

I know that in Exchange 5.5, it was actually part fo the GAL. For example: If I opened my AB in Outlook, I would see the GAL as my default first choice in the "Show Names From" list and all my users names would be in the main window. I would also see a "Group or Distribution list" in this window as well. I could select it and send to "All Subscribers" as it was commonly known. I tried to create this same scenario in Exchange 2003 and it didn't seem to work.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!!

MiniOrganMorgan is correct. A query based distribution list can be set to include everyone, and will update as users are added/removed.

Hey Sniper,

Thanks for the heads up. Can I create this in the GAL so it will show up as a group as I mentioned above?

Thnx

P

Yep, although wait for the Information Store maintenance window to pass before it will show up.

Hi Sniper et al.

So..I tried to do the QBDL but unfortunately...my Exchnage does not run in native mode (for whatever reason) so I can't. However, I did create a new Distribution Group under my AD Domain and added my list of users. Will this work that same? I ask cuz it doens't show up in my GAL yet.

Thnx

P

Ok! It's working now. Disregard my last post.

It seems that Exchange likes to take its own sweet time to do things. :)) Left it overnight and Voila! The list is now showing up.

Thanks for all your excellent help!!!
