I am using Crystal Reports 9.0 and an access database.

I need to do a spreadsheet type report using only one data field. The report needs to look like this.

2002 2003 2004
Month YTD Month YTD Month YTD

Jan 11 11 15 15 12 12
Feb 14 25 12 27 10 22
Mar 9 34 11 38 13 35

Etc.

I read that for a cross tab report you need at least 3 datafields and one summary field.
I am only using one data field (Authorization Date) to do this report.
What other suggestion do you have for creating this report than cross tab. Or is there something I am missing?
ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

Why do people ask question and give no details???

is this a single table report??
I ASSUME this is a sales report by product, is this true??
Is there data always available for each year?...probably not is my GUESS

There are many approaches to a MANUAL crosstab but based on this info it is hard to suggest

I would probably use Arrays to store the info though...suppressing all the sections except the report footer where the results would be displayed...since it is only 12 months of data/year this is not too taxing and null data would be easy to handle

The quality of the answer is directly proportional to the quality of the problem statement!
