I feel like an idiot. Maybe it's a brain fart, or burn out after a long week. I just installed SQL Server 7.0 on a new machine. How do a create a server? Not register an existing server, but create a new one?

The server is created as part of the installation. However, it isn't automatically started until the next reboot, so maybe that's why you aren't seeing it.

Hi,

If after rebooting the machine, you still not see your server, it means that your SQL Server is not automatically started on rebooting, you have to go to Services and start the service called MSSQL and changed to Start on Reboot.
