Hi all,

I need to create a search engine for project using JSP but i'm new to that programming language.

I want my search page to be like there's a text field for user to type in any letters/words and it will look into the database, find the matching query n display the results below(on that same page).

If no result found matching that search it'll display a msg (on the same page too).

How am i going to do about it. Can anyone pls help.

Thanks.

First and foremost thing is JSP is not an programming language rather an Scripting language....

Regarding Search Page.....

You first have to make a connection to the database and then execute the query, then show the results in the result set.....

As the question asked is very priliminary and also very subjective you better start searching google with how to create database connection in google....

Try other concepts like wise.....

Hoping that you know atleast SQL .... it should not be a matter of more than 30 mins for you to come out with a result.....
