Create Trust Error "User Account Already Exists"

Hope somebody can help with this. I've searched Microsoft Technet and their web site but cannot find anything about this.

I'm trying to establish a two-way trust that once existed but has since been removed. I have a one way trust going but when I try to set up the trust in the other direction, I get an error when doing the first step of adding the Trusting Domain.

Basically, when I click Add in the Trusting Domain area and type in the domain, password and password confirmation, all I get is a dialog box stating "User Account Already Exists". I only have an option to click OK and nothing else !.

Anybody got any ideas at all. Just to confirm, the domain I'm trying to add doesn't already exist in the Trusting Domains box and both domains have the same adminstrator user name and password.
