Hi folks,

I really need a help here. Newbie in Excel-VB

My bos wants me to have a general module, where from there we can create a workbook based on existing workbook/template.

Can somebody let me know how to do this? Or any reference?

Thanks a lot,
Tin Tin

Just Export the module (right click the module from the Project Window). Then, just import this file into the workbooks you want. If you modify the module, the workbooks should automatically open the latest module.

Thanks a lot.

I wonder however, can that stand-alone module only be opened with VB (don't have it installed in my com right now)?

I currently have a module in excel apps, and would like to make it as a centralized module to be used by other apps with some modification. For exp. Procedure A & B for app2, prcedure C & D for app3.

If the module is not stand-alone, part of a workbook, I can not import the module in another workbook. If I first export the module, it becomes a .bas, then I can import it in another workbook (changes in this module will automatically update those exist in workbooks that import it, right).

However, then if I'd like to modify the .bas module, will I be able to do it without having VB installed? What program?

Thanks again.
