I used to use Access 97 at work. I created a databse with lookups for zipcodes and salesmen. Some how I exported/created a file where everything was hidden except the lookup form. The title bar simply said file, window & help. The file has an .mdb extension. I can't remember how I did this.

Now I have Access 2000. Does anyone know how to do this? Was this only available in 97? If it was only a 97 thing, did it have to be a certain version?

Thanks.

Hi

This is my first attempt at answering a tek tips questions. So here goes. I hope it is what you are looking for. I would suggest trying the help with the key word hide. That is how I found the info below

Show or hide system objects in the Database window by default
Microsoft Access automatically creates system objects when you create a new database.

On the Tools menu, click Options.

Click the View tab.

Under Show, select or clear the System Objects check box.

Mark a newbie to access

Use the "/runtime" command line switch to start Access and launch your database. This will prevent the Database window from appearing, and will remove the toolbars that come with a full version of Access. For example:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE" /runtime "C:\My Databases\db1.mdb"
