We have a word document that we need to update; however, instead of redoing the entire document we would like to do change pages. I cannot find any information on how do to this in Word 2000. Does anyone know if it is possible, and if so how do I do it. For instance, in section 2, which is over 100 pages long, we have a section to add on page 2-7. This will add a few pages to the document, so instead of everything rolling, we would like to add the information so that we have pages 2-7, 2-8, 2-8a, 2-8b, 2-8c and 2-8d (or something like this) and then start back up with page 2-9 exactly as it was. This way, everyone only has to remove page 2-7/2-8 and replace it with 2-7 thru 2-8d. Is there anyway to do something like this. Thank you.

You will need to put in a section break before and after inserting the 2-8a, 2-8b pages so you can have different page numbers. Before adding in this different page numbering make sure the section following this new section that Same As Previous is turned off. This should also be off in the new section. The 2-8 would be typed in manually and the a, b, c would be the number format for the page number.
