What is the best way to create an element in a parameter dropdown for all values. For example, a user would run a report with a product filter/parameter. The possible selections would be product a, b, c, and d. I would like to create a list of products ALL, a, b, c, and d with the prompt defualt on ALL (Bo version 6.5).

Thanks for any help on this,
Sam

You need to EDIT the LOV for the object. Then you can use a UNION query to add ALL to the list of values. Then you need to adjust your prompts to allow ALL to be a valid choice.

Hello..this is just what Im looking for. Iknow how to allow the ALL function but Idon't know how to create the union with the ALL. Any help will be great. thanks

ok I know...for those of you who dont know

select field from table UNION select 'ALL' form Dual (oracle)

BO gives you a default of 'All Object Name values' as a default option on a drill filter. Most users are usually ok with that option.
