Guys and ladies, I have a pretty seemingly simple problem that I just can't figure out at the moment. here is the problem. I have a grouping of say 10 contacts called x how do I create and email message in outlook 2000 with x as the attachment. I tried the insert item feature but that only inserts one contact and not the collective name x which has all the contacts. Any ideas????

Um, Not sure I know for what purpose - what about exporting to a .pst.

File-Import and Export, to a PST. Choose only a contacts folder that contains those contacts. Export it to your desktop as a decent name you'll recognize. Attach THAT file to the email message you send. Anne Troy

Thanks guys that was the solution. Thanks again.

If I read your message correctly, you are just wanting to share your some of your contacts (not all of them).

If yes, Do this:
Restore (resize the windows) for both Outlook and your message. (so you can see both Outlook and your message side by side.

Now in Outlook Contacts
1. make sure the contacts are not marked private in the lower right corner... because the person at the other end would not be able to open them.
2. select the 10 contacts and drag them to the message (body) portion of your email.
