Hello all, this is a somewhat off the wall question, and this may not be the right forum to ask in, but here goes.

I am looking to add a toolbar to XP workstations with a batch file. Basically we have a bunch of links on a network drive. We want to create a toolbar linking to this. Not sure if this is possible, but any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

There are two ways you can achieve this...

one is to use the TASKBAR itself, right click on the TASK BAR and then choose the LINK BAR, then click on it and drag it out to the screen... once that is done you can drag and drop any FOLDER to it and it creates a LINK to that FOLDER...

the second is to use a seperate program, such as YZ Dock, and create a seperate DOCK bar, where you can also drag and drop Folders etc. to create Links on the DOCK bar...

Well since taskbar toolbars are nothing more than folders that get presented on the taskbar, it should not be to hard.

I think the problem is gong to be finding where exactly the toolbar information is stored.

I tried creating a toolbar and then looking for an entry for it in the registry but it doesn't appear to be there.

I'm still looking into this but it should technically be possible.
