CRC Errors on Full Backup but not on Daily

Hi,

Im kind of baffled at the minute.

I'm backing up a site with Differential Backups Mon--> Thurs then a Full Backup each Friday.

However, the Diff Backups are working fine but the Full Backups are failing due to CRC errors.

I've tried a new tape and long erase but still no success.

A full generally contains much more date than an inc or a dif. More data = more opportunity for failure.

Reseat/replace the cables on the tape drive and reboot everything. CRC errors are usually physical problems with the comm link. I recently resolved a similar issue by replacing a SCSI terminator.
