Hi !

I've got a w2k server.
I put on it an another disk wich is a system disk.

Despite putting this other disk on slave position, when starting my server, it boot on the slave disk, affecting the D: letter to my principal disk!

No, i can't boot anymore on my first disk.

Is there a solution that allow to re-affect the C: letter to my principal disk?

Why Windows has changed my disk path?

Thanks for reading me and a great thanks for your replies!

try booting from the CD or Floppies, and select the option to repair previous OS. A+, MCP, CCNA

Segasega,
It sounds like the primary isn't marked as 'Active'. As a test, remove original via the BIOS. If the primary boots then us Disk Manager to update current settings. Restore the BIOS setting and make sure only primary disk is set active. Under normal conditions I would think only one disk could be set active.
