sierra program, caesar3. does the program matters? quite number of other programs also crash out, but different thing crash out, not ntoskrnl.exe

Have you attempted an upgrade on top of the existing system? Then reinstall the SP2? You might want to try it.

I always used to get these errors and the above solved it, but you might want to wait and see if someone else has a less drastic answer!!! (I'll be peeking in here often to see...)

upgrade in what sense? can elaborate abit?

Stick in W2K CD and when it comes up, click Install. That's an upgrade from within W2K

This problem is usually always related to hardware. This is why the service pack can fix the problem, but only if the service pack offers an update for your hardware. Also, settings in bios can change the way your os interacts with your hardware, If you have a bios setting for cache or shadow, try disabling them. Check with the hardware manufacturer for updates and compatibility.

Good point Donnie, but what hardware should this individual look for upgrades for? If they have to look for updates within all of them, that could be a pain.

I would start with a bios upgrade from the m-board manufacturer.

do you think using the repair capability in windows 2000 setup from the cd would help the memory problem?
