CR10 - Suppress total line for single line detail

I'm sure this is a simple one - but it escapes me.

JUst want to suppress the total (or detail) line when there is only 1 detail line. In order to shorten the report.

I'm just looking for some hints. I was thinking maybe a running counter on the detail line and then using a supression formula on the total section.

But if there's an easier way - please share it.

It is true - that I created a SUMMARY TOTAL - DISTINCT COUNT - of the detail line items and used that in the TOTAL LINE SUPPRESS OPTION.

such as.

CUSTOMER
part 1
part 2
part 3
CUSTOMER TOTAL LINE (suppress if distinct count of part is < 2)

I guess that is the way - unless there is some builtin CR option
