Hello world,
we are just about to change from CR 8.5 to X (and I'm more and more asking myself wether this is a good idea) and I made the following observation:
When you navigate to a formula using the field explorer, open it and close it again, the cursor is not longer positioned at the formula. Instead it is now found at the top most level "database fields" (or similar, I don't know it exactly because my version is german). This behaviour appears anyway, if you change the formula or not.
The same happens if you navigate to a running total, open it and click on the button "use formula" (or similar, see above).
It curiously does NOT appear if you only open the running total and close it again. And even NOT whith parameter fields.
Does someone now a workaround for that behaviour? It is very obstructiv in reports with a huge number of formulas and/or running totals and you have to check out one after the other (and we have some of those reports and I am the one who has to develop them).
Is it perhaps a question of the service pack that is installed?
Thank you
Barbara
