I have a 2610 router with 4 serial ports running full T1 at 4 remote locations. All are running ipx/spx and tcp/ip with ipx/spx rip and ip rip.
There is a novell server at the central site along with 10 2000 servers.
The remote locations have one 2000 server and one Novell server for client access locally.
The cpu utilization of the 2600 router(central location) was around 20% before making any changes.
We took the novell server down at two of the remote locations and I diabled ipx routing at the two locations.
Checking the central router's cpu, it now shows around 36% utilization.
It seems the router would have less to do now (not having to rip the ipx routes and send ipx traffic from the central location to the remote locations).
Am I missing something?
Thanks for any input,

I would do a 'show proc cpu' and see which process is eating up the most cycles. Start there to see where the problem may lie. Todd Hethmon
