It's been awhile since I have bought a motherboard but what I am used to seeing is a CPU bus speed setting and a multiplier that can be set using jumpers.

However, on a board that I am looking at they give the CPU speed and the cpu:dram ratio and not a multiplier. Any ideas how I can get the proper settings for my cpu?

The page in question is at:

It's in the BIOS setup, thanks to Asus (and Award), it's easier than ever. Just pop the chip in, and fire it up. The mobo will detect the CPU type, and set the stuff up accordingly, you can then go into BIOS setup and adjust things manually if you want to overclock. Cheers,

I am aware of that but I was just wondering what I would do if I was to set it manually.

Just curious
