I came across the FAQ (799-5226) for changing the IP of a Call Pilot via a serial port - which was exactly what I needed to do). Until then, I never messed with the serial port and now I'm curious. After the CP has finished booting up, if I connect to it via the serial port, it prompts me for "Login:" and "Password:" - I've tried every combo I can think of and then some. Does anyone know what it is?

Thanks.

the only thing done on a serial cable is changing the IP setting manually. You do not need to do anything else. THe login prompt will display for quite a bit of time.

So you saying that it will prompt for a login and password even though one does not exist?

it will prompt a login and when you enter a key, it'll ask for password. There is no reason for you to be in the login prompt for any reason. Let the voicemail naturally boot up and you can access the callpilot manager.
