am I able to program 2 coverage paths on 1 phone? What I am trying to do is use one coverage path for a after hours line (pointing it outside the building) and I'd like the 2nd cp to go to the users voicemail. Is this possible? and how would I go about this. I have a Definity CM 4.0 and trying to program a 7406+ Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, you can use Time-of-Day coverage to do this. On the station form you define the 2 coverage paths to be used and in the COR of the station you use the Time-of-Day Coverage field.

So do I mark 1 cov path as say 5 and the other t1 and then set the time-of-day routing ? How would I set the on/off times? Sorry for the confusion...but this is a learning process... :)
 
You just need to build the coverage paths that you need, then assign them to a Time of Day Coverage Table.
(add coverage time-of-day next). Enter the Coverage Path numbers on the table beside the times you want them to be active.
Then asign the Time of Day table to the station form under Coverage Path. Instead of putting in a coverage path number you would put in t1 for time of day table 1, or t2 for table 2, etc.
 
I have the coverage path built, not sure how to assign to a time of day coverage table. I found the time of day station lock table and the time of day routing plan. So on page 1 I have for cov path 1: 5 and for cov path 2: t1. the time of day station lock table allows a beginning and end time. No luck so far making it work. Should the send calls button be assigned and selected for this?

You need to use the Time of Day Coverage Table.
If you enter the command: add coverage time-of-day next - do you get the table

I do get the table, I didn't know about this...so I'll input the times and the cov path and on the station page I'll add t2 in the field for cov path 2 vice the cov path number (12) correct?
 
well that didnt work :( I'll have to start over I guess...must be something simple I'm missing. it I put in the time for activation @ 0915 but it still went to the stations voicemail vice the other station where I wanted it to go...
 
Everything is fine except for the times on the table. Look at the table as starting as midnight for the 24 hours of each day. The way you have the table set up coverage wouldn't start until 18:00.

By the day of week, make the first entry time 0:00 and the coverage path you want to be in use at midnight.
Then put in the time of day you want the next coverage path to be active and the coverage path number. THen put in the next time, i.e. 18:00, and coverage path you want to use. THis would be active until the end of that day.
Do the same for each day of the week. If you wanted the same coverage path all day, for example Sunday, you would put the start time as 0:00 on Sunday and the coverage path with no further entries

So I wanted to shift to cov 12 at 11:00 this morning to see if it would go to cov 12 when I called the extension but it didn't, not sure what I'm doing wrong...
"bsh" thanks for that info...I printed it out but it seems we have a slightly different syst. Not sure if it makes a diff..I'm on an Avaya CM 4.0 (upgraded from G3R V10

All you need to do is put a t2 under coverage path 1 of the station form and leave coverage path 2 blank and it should work.
 
Looks like its going to cov 12 now...I'll check Monday morn to make sure it shifted to the other cov path...I really appreciate the assist..have learned a bunch since I started on this site...
