Coverage Path not ringing hunt

Hi,

I have a problem here with one extension in a hunt group. The person in question is a member of the hunt group which is attached to point 1 on the coverage path. When a call hits the coverage path, the call will appear on the top of the phone, but it will not ring. i have tried a test coverage path on the phone and it rings...this was set up exactly the same way as the coverage path/ hunt group which was failing. I have also changed the hunt method and moved the ext in the member list accordingly, but nothing different happened.

Also, the same extension does not receive any notification of calls when the call comes through from a few of our Executives. Again, i have changed the coverage path on the execs phone to the test coverage path, and it works, but when i change it back to the original path, it fails.

My question is this, what else is there that could be causing the coverage path or hunt group to behave in different ways if the setup on the phone extension is identical to extensions which work correctly?

I have been racking my brains and at this point it seems like i am trying to light a fire with wet wood!!!
 
did you do a ststus station of the set in question, may have send all calls activated

Delete the extension and dup an existing, working one to make a new ext with the same number ?
Al least then you'll be sure it isn't in the ext settings....

hmm, i have already duplicated the ext and send all calls isn't activated. it's a very strange problem as i have tested the extension as working under a test hunt group (that only this ext is part of). I have also confirmed it as working when i ring another member of the hunt group. but when i ring the execs ext, the calls go through to everyone else in the group but this ext.

The same group is part of a call pickup group and the button highlights on the phone, but no details display at the top of the screen.


 
try a list trace station and post the results

So if the huntgroup is ddc and you specify this ext as the first one in the group, it doesn't ring ?

Perhaps 'list usage ext' can show something - a trace like smokinjoe2938 could also provide info...

exactly, it won't ring, or show up on the phone. i will post the trace results with this ext at the top of a ddc hunt as soon as i get a chance to make the call (busy office etc etc!)

 
you can always try and ditch the huntgroup then make a new one....

if you do a station to station call does it ring? if not you may have a bad port, rewire to another port and retest

the station is fine for everythign else except when i ring a certain extension and the hunt group she is part of doesn't ring her ext. it just so happens this extension is one of the Execs this person is EA to! the Execs extension is also identical to another extension which i have tested as working.
 
so just to be clear on this; if you call the station it rings ok but not when in the hunt group?

I hate to go "basic" on you here..but have you checked the station form to make sure that "bridged call alerting" is set to Y for the station in question.....Just a thought !!!
