I have a cover path (x6921) that follows three extensions then should roll to v/m, i.e.:
6526 (3 rings) -> 6524 (3 rings) -> 6489 (3 rings) -> h10 (vm)

(the first two are 4610IPSWs, the third is a 4602IPSW).

I dial 6921 while running a list trace station on each step, and it shows the call routing properly. However, when it reaches the last step it announces fax cover for the first extension! If you call the first extension outright it will roll properly to its v/m box.

Any ideas where to look? Thanks in advance..... John

What does your audix subscriber screen look like for 6526, 6524, and 6489?

Oh, duh! I shoulda done that to start with. Chasing thru VM I find that "disp sub 6489" returns "Subscriber does not exist".

If that don't fix it, I'll be back.

And I'm back - it stills rolls to fax on the first extension. The ring count appears to be correct (three per station)

6526 has a secondary extension of 6921, but removing that causes it to roll into another tenant's dial by name !?!?!

Everything else is the same on all three: COS class11, switch 1, community 1, covering extension blank, Fax Creation enabled, and call answer primary and secondary annc. set to system.

Hmmmmmmm....... do you have any entries for these extensions in the auto route table?

Nope - totally blank in the auto-attendant routing table.

Can you do another trace route on 6921 and post the results?

Here's the tail end (I've validated that it is rolling correctly to each extension):

15:06:00 G711MU ss:eek:ff ps:20 rn:1/1 172.18.1.172:2988 172.18.1.201:2986
15:06:00 xoip: fax:Relay modem:eek:ff tty:US uid:0x92e cid:0x27f
15:06:15 no answer station 6489 cid 0x27f
15:06:15 coverage-path 21 point 4 cid 0x27f
15:06:17 active station 6603 cid 0x27f

Right at the cover path 21 point 4 it goes to VM (6603), where the answer is "Fax mailbox for extension 6526".

If nothing else, I've found some minor things I needed to clean up (6489 was set to tenant 1 and the others are tenant 2).

Just to follow up and close out - the fix for this was to disable fax reception on the voicemail box of the lead number in the cover path.
