Need to program 4 analog ext (going on a new KSU in an office).
confused about cov and hunt (and life in general).
I want to have the main line1 Ext 5200, 5201(line2), 5203(line 3) 5204(line4).
if line 1 is busy it should ring line 2...if line 2 is busy, ring line, 3etc....
and of course intuity voice mail box if no one answers or all lines are busy.
I don’t want it to ring 16 times before it goes to vm.

if someone calls to 5200 and there happens to be only 1 person there already on line 1 and cant answer it on line2, i would want it to go to vm instead of it going to ring lines 3& 4.

Any and all help is appreciated. thank you.

Sounds like you only want to hunt on a busy, but on a no answer go to VM. You can do this by linking 2 coverage paths together.

Create a new coverage Path for 5200. In this coverage path, put a "y in the busy prompts (internal & external). Leave the don't answer prompts as "n". Assign 5201 as point 1, 5202 as point 2, 5203 as point 3 and the VM hunt group as point 4. For the sake of argument let's call this Coverage Path 1

Next, create another new coverage path with the 2 busy prompts set to "n" and the don't answer set to "y". (the opposite of the previous) Set your number of rings to 3 or whatever & make point 1 the VM hunt group and possibly point 2 the attendant just in case the VM goes down. For sake of argument, let's call this Coverage path 2.

Now, enter this coverage path (2) into the original coverage path (1)under the "next path number" prompt. I would also assign coverage path 2 to 5201,5202 & 5203. This will insure the call goes to VM on a RNA if they get called direct
