I have found a number of perl scripts that count outward clicks. They seem to break down into 2 groups -- (1) those that simply count/log the clicks; and (2) "re-direct" scripts (also will count/log).
Is there an obvious advantage (or disadvantage) to using one method over the other? For example, does one approach put more of a burden on the server? Or, is one going to be consistently more accurate?
Thanks for any insights...
