I've been charged with counting the number of analog lines coming into our campus & G3. I think this plan will get me all of the lines but wanted to bounce this one off someone to make sure all my bases are covered.

1) record all analog extensions on the G3
2) record all DID lines on G3
3) Go to each Dmarc and record all analog lines there, (testing to see if they have dialtone/correct label)

type Disp Cap and go through the pages it will tell you what you want to know.

I did that... are you talking about the voice terminals page 8 of 9?

Campy, I am not sure what you are referencing.

Bobg1, I found on pg 4 of disp cap, the number of "digital Data end points", however I'm not sure what that references. I did fin the number of station records with & without ports on pg 7.

I assume stations with ports is the number of devices I have connected?

That should be correct.
Its possible there could be some out there that are not associated with a port. The ones without a port, tells you they are set up but not associated, if they are somewhere physically, who knows. You should also find the number of trunk ports used in there. Then you will also have a total ports used and available.

OK, I have a number of ext "2019 agent-loginid Agent 19",
then "2610 agent-loginid VRU Port 10"

Do the agent extensions or VRU ports count as far as Avaya is concerned?

Also, if I remove the agent-loginID do I need to remove a VRU port? Should I remove either?

It would appear from the disp cap cmd it does count the extensions, and not just stations.

Is there some sort of command to remove extensions enmasse?

Hey Try DSA/ASA and run a System Capacity Report. You will find out things you never thought about before.

Hope this helps
