My department as requested that I keep track of complaints against employees. The manager wants to enter the employees social security number and an unbound box will indicate the number of previous complaints. I can do this with a query, but have been unable to display the information on the form. Thanks in advance for your help!!!

I am trying to use an unbound text box that will change after a social security number and/or name is entered, as this same system will track the number of times police officers have stopped and talked to individuals in high crime areas. I had it once with DCount but lost how I accomplished this... Thanks for the quick reply

Hi!

The DCount syntax is:

=DCount("YourField", "YourQuery", "Where SSN = '" & Forms!YourForm!YourTextBox & "'")

This assumes that the social security number field is stored as text.
