count records per page then page break for datareport

Hi,
I need to force page breaks after a certain number of records per page. Page 1 has to have 12 records. Page 2 and on must have 14 records. The last page is what ever records are left and the totals. On the datareport how do I do this? The keep together property doesn't work. Thank you----sowhatnow?

I am unfamiliar with the datareport you mention. The first thing that comes to mind is sending blank records (or whatever) to the report to force a page break that way, but you would need to know how many lines per page you will have for that to work.

Not to mention, that is a serious band aid....

Thank you for your quick response. The datareport is the data designer for reports in vb. I was thinking on the line of "on page 1, page break after 12th records, else page break on 14th record." I don't know how to code this and neither could the other two programmers in my area.
