Hi,
I have a form in my database that automatically inserts the current date into a date field whenever a new record is created. Is there a way to count how many records have been added on a monthly basis, to be charted later. I can count the number of records in total, but can't seem to break it down into monthly buckets?
Any ideas

Half way there, I can count how many records have been created for a particular day by first creating a 'Group By' query that gives me a list of the individual dates from the table. Then in a new query, link the first query to the table and total the dates from the table against a count from the 1st query. Maybe this is the wrong approach, but it seems to be getting somewhere where I need to be?? (date, and number of records for that date). Just need to group these counts into monthly buckets. Any help would be great.

Sussed,
The built in chart wizard does what I need, at least from working out #'s of records for given date. Not sure if the chart wizard would have eliminated working that out, I'll have to try it.
