COUNT Function 2

I have a query in which there are case numbers and person id . Every case have a different case number but one person have more than one case.

One the query I have different cases but some person ids are the same .
I am trying to do a COunt of personids but not counting the personid that is displayed more than once.

I hope I am making sense.

you have to have a query that only has PersonID in it.
make it a Totals query (toolbar VIEW+TOTALS)
GroupOn the PersonID
This gives you unique PersonID's
at the bottom of the query is a count
