I cannot open the DB that I created. When I try and access it I get a window message that says: "The MS jet DB engine could not find the object 'MSysDb'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name correctly."

The DB was working fine yesterday, but today suddenly this message appeared. I thought a "Compact/Repair Database" might work but the same message appeared when it tried to access it. Any idea on how to solve this problem?

Thanx for any help!

MSysDB is a "system" Table. Your DB is probably corrupted. Check the following article about recovering a damaged or corrupted DB.

You may not be able to repair the DB. Hopefully, you have a good, recent backup. If not, you will probably need to seek outside assistance to recover the data. Most likely, your
MSysObjects table is corrupted and needs repair. This may be beyond the ability of Access's repair feature or JetComp to repair. I've seen advertisements for companies that specialize in MS Access data recovery. I'm sure you can find several with a web search.
