Hi gang, this is probably simple but I'm confused as normal.

Have implemented centralzed attendant services (Callpilot 3.0) using H323 trunking between sites. Each remote site utilizes COT for node access.
Have noticed that all services seem to be good if CDP isutilized directly or if calls are transferred by the operator and sets are manually forwarded to voice mail etc.

My problem is when the Auto attendant is accessed via the COT at the remote site and after 4 rings the call is not answered the redirect function to voicemail seems to hang in lala land. Tracking the dch msg the call is being redirected but it does not hit the mailbox.

This only occurs if the the originating call comes into the remote sites via COT.

Am in deep @$@$@@....

Any assistance as always would be greatly appreciated

Apologize for lack of info previously - scrambling this am

2 remote sites are Succession 1000M(Cabinet)rlse 4.5
both sites have COT as PSTN access
H323 Tie trunks for CDP
COT trunks configured for non auto termination

Main Site (Succession 1000MG)rlse 4.5
PRI trunks for PSTN access
H323 Tie trunks for CDP
CallPilot 1002rp (rlse 3.0)

I suspect it is a COT trunking issue or my configuration is wrong. Had to revert back to previous setup at remote site (201i Callpilot Rlse2.5)as forward no answer redirect would cause problems. Looked through previous posts and Nortels website but hve not had any luck. Maybe a possible supervision issue or timer however when tracing DCH you see the incoming msg , outgoing number dialled and the redirect to the voice mail CDN. Will keep trying...........

Thanks as always for the assistance

Are the COT's LOOP or GRD start? Need to be GRD, with SUPV.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Hi acewarlock,

Apologize I did not reply promptly however got side tracked big time with multiple crisis. The COT are GRD start at all nodes. The centralized service worked AOK as long as the COT were not accessed first. If a CFNA occurred and the originating trunk was PRI or H323 the transfer was fine.

Anyway the solution to my situation was in the H323 trunks DCH class of service, enabling TAT solved the problem.

Thanks again Ace for responding previously.
