How do I disable the dialpad on a Cortelco 2554 wallphone? It is being used as a "hotdial" phone, so I need the dialpad portion disabled.

If set up as ring down or hot d 4 as soon as set goes off hook it should call the one specified number you program in. Look in feature guide books for "ring down" or hot d phonestuff and gives good info.

The hotdial portion is already programmed. What I need to do, is to diable the dialpad, so it is not active while off-hook. I can't remember which one of the leads to remove.

Look at the dialpad, many of them you can open up and flip the senser pad, or pull it.

if you have a 1n4004 diode you can put it across the line. in one direction it kills the dialpad, in the other it does not.

there is a lead that when pulled kills dt, put it back on the dial pad in another location and dt comes back but the dial is dead, since dt is in series with those leads. i want to say you pull the black lead and put it back down with the blue.
