Hi All

I have downloaded Solaris 10 more than five time on to a Windows 2000 system ready for creating the required disks. However, eah time the check sum fails and the packages will not unpack.

I have followed Sun's advice and used Sun Download Manager but still the problem occurs. Is there any way I can get the downloads I seek without paying $25 plus and postage on top.

Any advice on this issue would be gratefully received.

Regards

Togora

I had a problem with downloading Sol 10 build 69, I downloaded the IOS Images but could not burn the CD as a bootable image. I waited a few days, when build 72 was available, I started the download again and everithing went fine...
So that's what I suggest: wait for another build and download it again

Best Regards, Franz

Danke Franz

I have attempted many times to obtain a copy of Solaris 10 64-bit version. I even tried to get hold of the Express version but still it would not work. I cannot even get as far as burning an ISO. Can it be that Windows is corrupting the files? What there should be is a Solaris protected zone within Windows where Solaris files can be held safely without fear of Windows damaging them.

Anyway thanks for the help and I will try your suggestion within the next day or so.

Hi daFranze

I attempted a new download the yesterday and still it will not work. What download manager are you using? I was using SDM however, it has stopped working for some reason. Any help would be great.

I used Sun DownloadManager 2.1, but I guess any other download tool for ftp protocol is ok.
