I'm using Exchange 5.5 I have a client with a corrupt mailbox. I ran a scan on the client machine and server. Fixed the errors on the client machine, but shortly after I did a scan again and the errors returned. This has given me reason to believe that the server is hosting the errors. I like to know if anyone knows of a way to repair just a user mailbox without repairing the entire Information Store. Is there an easy fix to this or is their any tools available that would simplfier and assist with this issue?
Thanks for all your help!

Personally I would export the mailbox data (calendar/inbox etc.) to a PST file and delete the mailbox; re-create the mailbox and import the PST file.

I would of said that too, but any signs of a corrupting database in Exchange is cause for worry. I'd make sure you have lots of backups and spare hardware around, in case of the sudden database crash.

Thanks for your reply. And that is the simplest way. But I'm sorry I forgot to mention that has already been attempted. The corruption seems to also affect importing the mail to .pst There is about 900MB of files needed to be saved and during the process it died at about 10MB. Basically, it errored out and didn't allow me to go any further. This corruption is all screwy.

Okay, try exporting the folders one at a time (inbox, then calendar etc) and it might not be a bad idea to run some diagnostic tools on the Exchange Server too.
