I have this one particular file that quits out whenever I try to do anything with it, such as: copy/paste, select all, make any type of change or creating a PDF. I tried doing a save as, I also tried coping the information and pasting it into a new document, however no luck.

1) is there anyway to save this file?
2) what causes this to happen?

Thanks in advance!

...you may have a corrupt font on your system causing the havoc, if not already done so clean out your system font locations carefully, does the file open ok without any fonts activated?

...if so, resave the file without fonts loaded and see if that makes any headway...

...which version of quark are you opening the file into, do you have access to another version of quark you can try?

andrew

...also have you tried transfering the pages to a new quark document via the thumbnails view, rather than copy and pasting?

...it may also be a corrupt image, so worth trying to resave all images asscociated with the document...

andrew

..another try might be to copy and paste only a few elements at a time rather than grouping the whole lot and pasting, you may be able to route out the cause this way...
