Corp Directory entry for GHT DN

I've got several DN's set up as GHT's and have been asked by the fac. manager to show these on the phones so when you dial 2222 you see Facilities Desk next to it as you would if you were dialing an extension assigned to a person.

Is there anyway to setup the system so that a virtual ext. can have a name against it?

BTW it's CS1000 release 3.20.01.94 if that helps.

Eh not sure as we don't do many group hunts ... you can try load 95 and enter the extension and try to put a name and see what error you get (unless it lets you do it).

The prompts will be:

req: New
type: Name
DN 2222
then it might let you put in the name.

OR, there may be a name field/description field when you build the GHT. You may be limited on characters.

And wow I can't believe you are on 3.2 ... sounds like you need an upgrade stat!

I'll give it a shot when I'm back in the office Monday... and yeah I was surprised that we're still on 3.2 - last time I looked I was convinced we were up to v5, maybe the help > about lied about the version!

LD 95 won't allow a new name on that DN as it say's it invalid... figures since it's a GHT and not a real extension.

Yes you can add any names / numbers you want in Corprate Directory.

In OTM or TM just use the Include File in the Corprate Directory options. Make sure you use the same format for the the CSV file.

I normally copy one line from the file "M1 Corporate Directory" then paste it into the "include file" and edit to new name / number.

Once done transmit the file from OTM / TM.

I can't see an Include option, Corp Dir seems to just have reporting options. I'm going into TM Navigator > Utilities > Corp Directory.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

thats the correct place. look across the tabs at the top there us a check box for include file. once checked look in root-program files-nortel-tm-common data , now there should be a file named include or similar. open the file insert names and run report / upload , tm will then combine this file to your standard file and display on sets.

OK, cool thanks for that! I can get it to appear in the corp directory... now does anyone know how to get the name appearing when I phone the DN?

It will not show the name once you have selected and dialed as the name does not exist in CPND.

Once you have selected your name from Corporate Directory do you really need to see the name again once you have dialed?

Personally no I do not and I don't see why anyone needs it in the Corp Dir as the dept hunts are published on the Intranet... our over-enthusiastic Facilities Manager however wants this to happen and he's the driving force behind all of this!
