Copying user accounts in Active Directory

I created a generic user account in AD so that every time I add on a new user, I just make a copy of the generic user account.

The problem is that the settings for the generic user aren't carrying over to the new user. Some of these include registry changes and group memberships. So I wind up having to manually make changes to each new user.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Any advise would be much appreciated!

Did you set the user profile to point to the generic profile?
