I have a report already created that I would like to leverage off of. The new report I will create will contain most of the same elements and be driven off of the same data source.

How can I copy my completed report so that I don't have to go through all of the redundancy to create another report that is virtually 90% unchanged?

Physically copy the report to another name in Explorer or do a File->SaveAs in Crystal. Save it to another name and then use that as a starting point for your new report.

I must be missing something.

I did a Save As in the design environment (vb6) to create the new report files. As a result, 3 files were created (DCA, Dsr & dsx). I then opened the Dsr file through Explorer and renamed the file in 2 places (to refer to the new report name).

I then did a Add Existing Report in my project, taking in the newly created Dsr.

I received an error message with no title and only a path name to a new log file that was created for the new report. I went to the log file and it contains no data. Furthermore, the report that I dragged-in is blank.

Ahh...I assumed that you had a regular version of Crystal that saves reports to .rpt files. I'm not sure how the VB version saves things...Sorry!
