Copying files in windows explorer does it in ASCII??

Hi,

We have some users who need to copy files from one server to another, they are currently using an FTP solution to do this (HummingBird Exceed) because it is essential that the files get copied in ASCII mode. But the NT guys here tell me that the files would be copied in ASCII mode anyweay if they were to simply use Windows Explorer.

Can some one confirm this, (I'm a UNIX bod)
