How can I add an existing DataEnvironment and Data Report from one project to another, VB6 makes it easy for an existing Form or Class, but I see no way to do it with Designers. I tried creating a new DE and Report in my new project with the same name as the ones I wanted copy, closed the project, and then copied the dsr files I wanted over the new ones. I tried to reopen the project but got numerous errors loading.

Thanks in advance,

Jim

What errors were they? Does your new project have all the correct references?

Thanks and Good Luck!

I'm actually copying an old project into a new onr little by little because of a problem I had with the packaging and deployment wizard locking up on me. An example of the error in the data envirorement was: Line 19: Property ConnectionSource in Connection1 had an invalid value, and
Line 29: Property CommandText in Recordset1 had an invalid value. For the Report: Line 3: Property Bindings in DataReport1 had an invalid file reference. Data sources for both projects are the same, it seems to have all the referances of the old project, and it does run within the old project(just can't package it).

Thanks,

Jim
