Hi all! We just upgraded at work from Quark 4 to Quark 6 (on a PC). We have data online that is in columns. With Quark 4, I copied this data and pasted it into an Excel file (if I skipped this step, the data could be pasted
directly into a Quark file, but it would not be tab delineated). Then I recopied it from the Excel file, and pasted it into the Quark file. It then retained the tabs necessary to create the columns of data.
Now with Quark 6, this doesn't work. Again, if I paste directly from the online data in Quark, it shows up as text... but not in columns (no tabs). If I paste into an Excel file, then copy and paste into Quark, it briefly
shows up as text, then the text disappears, and elsewhere on the page a table shows up with the data.
I tried going to Item, then Table, then Convert Table To Text. This works... sort of. The tabs are the default tabs, not the ones I want. Before, when I pasted into the quark 4 file, MY tabs would show up. Not the default tabs.
Is there an easy way to copy from a web page with columns and paste into Quark 6... like I did before? Thanks.
