Hello,

Our PBX in a Meridian Option 11c.

We just installed a new Phone and would like to copy the same settings from an existing phone to another.

How can i copy the settings then change the DN?

So long as it is not an acd phone,
Ld 20
Req cpy 1
Type (whatever phone type it is)
CFTN (copy from TN)
TOTN (the one you want to copy to)
DN (the dn you want to use)
enter....

ld 10
req: cpy 1
type: 2008 (or whatever type you are copying)

cftn: 12 0 0 0 (or whatever tn you are going to copy)
sftn: tndn (not sure on the prompt)
tn: 12 0 0 1
dn : 1234 (or whatever the new dn will be)

it will print out the new DN and TN.

If you have a second DN on the phone, just change the phone you created and change the DN to a new DN

ld 11

req: chg
type: 2008
TN: 12 0 0 1
echg: yes (if it is NOT an ACD phone) (just my opinion)
ITEM: Key 1 5678 (whatever the key you need to change with the new DN.)

Hope this helps.

John

As long as you are not programming any ACD functionality on the 2616, you are okay to copy. Otherwise you will have to create it NEW.

Just to be safe, why don't you post the TN you want to copy from here so we can see it. Thanks.

Ok i copied and when i dial the new extension there's no display name?

Kelly:

Please post the TN info.

LD 20
PRT
tnb
3 0 0 12

Then copy and paste the info here.

I figured it out, just had to add the name in LD 95.

Thanks for yor help!

way to go, when you print tnb or dnb, you'll see the name.

you don't, those number are part of a lan numbering scheme. they almost never are used in the switch, if so it would be as a des. since you stated new drop.. usually it would have to be jumpered or patched back to a unused port (tn)
