I have a policy set up that is used to lock down windows 2000 clients, what id like to know is how i can copy an adm and keep all the settings in? any help would be much appreciated

thanks for your reply... the thing is i want to know how to copy the adm file i already have so i can use it again.. if you copy an adm and open it, all the settings are changed to default, i need to keep the settings i have so i need a way to copy it with all the settings kept the way i had them.. for example a very long list of applications that are enabled to be used on workstations, if i copy the adm these settings are not kept

So if you set up the .adm file on one machine (presumably in \winnt\inf), then copy the .adm file concerend to another machine and then apply it - you're saying it doesn't work - looses all the original settings?

Are you using one of standard names ones, or created your own .adm file?
