So far you guys have been great in helping me so I am hoping the trend will continue. I need to set up about 50 users in our new domain. What would make my job a lot easier is to copy the users from our old domain to the new. I don't care about SID or permissions just, basically want to copy user info over, first & last name and login. Anyway to do that or do I spend a couple of hours tomorrow going thru and setting everyone up one by one? Thanks for your help!

Cheers
Rob

Well, if you don't care about the SID's or anything and as it's only 50 users it would probably be quicker just to do it manually.

There are migration tools, and various command line tools but probably more hassle that it's worth for just 50 users.

use the ADMT MS provides:

Intraforest Migration
Intraforest migration does not require any special domain configuration. The account you use to run ADMT must have enough permissions to perform the actions that are requested by ADMT. For example, the account must have the right to delete accounts in the source domain, and to create accounts in the target domain.

Intraforest migration is a move operation instead of a copy operation. These migrations are said to be destructive because after the move, the migrated objects no longer exist in the source domain. Because the object is moved instead of copied, some actions that are optional in interforest migrations occur automatically. Specifically, the sIDHistory and password are automatically migrated during all intraforest migrations.

Thanks for the information I figured I'd have to create the all manually I can't destroy my old user info that would be bad. If I have to do it manually I have to, just figured there might be something faster. But now I know...

Thanks again for your help!

Cheers
