I also would like to be able to edit a PDF file. I'm working to Chartered Engineer Status and the form is available as a PDF. To apply this means printing the form and handwriting the 'answers'. I'd like to be able to 'Type' the answers, but don't have access to Acrobat Reader. Would anyone be able to do this for me? I can either post the file, or a link to it - it's public info.

Acrobat Reader is a free program from Adobe.com
Unless the PDF is setup correctly I don't think you will be able to do it.

Just because a PDF looks like a form, doesn't mean it IS a form, in the fully electronic sense.
The document creator must "enable", which usually means "painstakingly create", all of the various form elements and actions within the document.
Like Mr. Stringer suggested, post a link to the PDF, if you can, so we can examine it.
"Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional" is the version you need to turn an ordinary PDF into an electronic form PDF.

That isn't an online form. You can't fill it out electronically. Shame on them.
