Does anyone know how to copy the I386 directory to the hard drive using an answer file during an unattended installation? The answer file is located in the I386 directory of a bootable CD so using winnt32/makelocalsource will not work. Any assistance is appreciated.

I don't have a direct answer but when I installed both WinXP Pro and WinXP HE, I was asked if I wanted the install folder copied to the hard drive. Maybe the key will be in where that question was being generated.

Did you use setupmgr.exe to create your answer file? One option to get the I386 folder on the hard drive would be to run a batch. After the answer file creation you will have an option to edit additional settings. You will be able to select a batch file to run after installation. Just a thought.
